5 THINGS EVERY ENTREPRENEUR SHOULD KNOW BEFORE LAUNCHING A BUSINESS

Bisú Marketing

This month, Bisú Marketing is celebrating its anniversary! A year has passed since we decided to launch, and considering that all the paths of entrepreneurs have their different nuances, we want to show you the different situations from which no entrepreneur can escape. Are you ready? Let's get started!

1. DON´T BE AFRAID WHEN SETTING YOUR PRICES

One of the things we learned is that, when deciding to launch a business, we tend to have mindset that our prices may be too expensive compared to the competition and may start generating the idea that no one is going to buy from us. In turn, we become fearful of setting prices that match our knowledge and dedication which is not beneficial, neither for us as entrepreneurs nor for our clients. This is why you should always value your work and do not be afraid to charge what your products or services are really worth!

2. IN THE BEGINNING, YOU WILL BE YOUR OWN SECRETARY, ACCOUNTANT, RECEPTIONIST, ASSISTANT...

We must be prepared for everything. Unfortunately, no startup is born earning millions to be able to hire people to support us from the beginning. The process of launching a successful business is slow and requires a lot of patience from its founders. Being resilient is key. Multi-tasking will be part of your life for months or years, but do not worry.  Every entrepreneur knows that every effort brings its rewards.

3. difficult clients are the ones we need to be the nicest to

We all know that there are millions of personalities, but it is difficult to accept this when we have a client who is not entirely satisfied with our products / services no matter how hard we have worked on delivering the best of ourselves. They are those to whom we should treat with more affection and have more patience, to avoid negative comments about us. For this reason, we must listen to them and take action, and evaluate if our client is really wrong or we are the ones who need to make major changes. This will help us to evaluate and rethink how we are doing things.

4. BE CLEAR WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS FROM THE BEGINNING

Sometimes misunderstandings are generated by not being entirely clear. Try to ask them as many questions as possible and make sure you and your client are on the same page. Even after your client has already booked you or purchased your products / services, make sure to inform them about all the small details of what they can expect. This will help you avoid a problem in the event that you have misunderstood them or the client has not expressed himself fully (the latter tends to happen a lot!).

5. YOU WILL WORK OFF THE CLOCK A LOT

You will probably find yourself working on a Friday at midnight or a client may want to speak to you on a Saturday at 8 in the morning. Setting boundaries is important, but unfortunately when you are flying solo, it just tends to happen. It is what we call the entrepreneur lifestyle.

There are many more situations that you may face as an entrepreneur, but these 5 points are surely the most common, so we wanted to let you know what you are up against so that you are prepared and do not feel alone on this journey.

In this opportunity we want to tell you about one of the most used digital marketing resource. Email was one of the first communication channels created once the internet appeared. Being a means by which you can deliver a message that reaches each user individually, it became a powerful tool in digital marketing strategies. One of its main advantages is its scalability, since emails can reach a large number of people. Another advantage it has over other communication channels is that, through it, you can deliver a personalized message, which will make our customers feel special and valued by us.
